JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Medical Responsible Nurse, you have overall medical responsibility for quality and safety within the municipality's health care. You are responsible for ensuring that patients receive safe and appropriate care and treatment of good quality. You ensure that laws, regulations, and other rules for health care are known and followed, developing and implementing routines and guidelines for medical care.

You serve as an advisory and support function for the organization in specific nursing issues. To ensure quality, you conduct regular follow-ups in the organization. You investigate serious incidents and, if necessary, report to the Health and Care Inspectorate (IVO) according to Lex Maria.

You have overall responsibility for ensuring that there are safe routines for record-keeping and medication management. The supervisory role is independent, and you report directly to the municipal council and relevant supervisory authorities. You are responsible for the preparation of the administration's annual patient safety and quality report.

The position also includes tasks within various internal and external groups. For example, you are one of the municipality's two crisis support leaders, manage the local collaboration group with health centers, and participate in medical collaboration based on the health care agreement.

You are responsible for certain administrative systems such as KOMKAT, SIHTS card, the Swedish palliative register, Senior Alert, Dental Window, and Sesam LMN.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with relevant further education. You are driven by quality and development work and have experience in municipal health care. You are well acquainted with applicable laws and regulations in the field. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good communication skills and can convey messages in a pedagogical manner.

You are an engaged and responsible team player with leadership qualities. You are strategic and analytical in your work approach. You build good relationships, contribute to creating a positive work environment, are flexible, and find it easy to collaborate with others. Personal suitability is of great importance.

A valid driver's license (B) is required. In Skurup Municipality, we apply a smoke-free working time.
